Weltraumforschung (engl. space exploration, wörtlich „Weltraumerforschung“) ist die aktive Erforschung des Weltraums entweder durch Beobachtung, Fernerkundung, Sondierung von Himmelskörpern oder durch terrestrische (auf der Erde durchgeführte) Experimente, die sich auf Zustände im Weltraum übertragen lassen.
